What are we looking for?
Aqua Narrowboats are looking for a Junior Boat Builder/Carpenter that is passionate about the woodwork they produce, can work as part of a team and keep on learning
Your role will be to use a high level of skill together with modern workshop machinery to design, develop and build all woodwork associated with the fitout and refurbishment of both new and used boats. To communicate courteously with customers to establish the individuals needs and requirements to ascertain work required.
You will be a qualified carpenter (NVQ 1 or 2 in bench joinery or furniture production) or have completed an NVQ 2 or 3 with the boat building academy. You will have a min grade C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English. Experience of boat building would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. You will be keen to learn, pay attention to detail, and have speed and accuracy of work. If you have the skills and some of the experience we are looking for then APPLY TODAY!
Where you will work
You will be working with a small team of carpenters and engineers to complete each build, based at our new factory in Foston, just off the A50. This is a full time job (36hours) with flexible hours although usually 8am- 4.30pm.

Job Type: Full-time 36 hours per week, hours and days to be negotiated.
Salary: £14414.40 to £15369.12 based on 36 hrs per week or (£7.70 to £8.21/ per hour)
